Superior humanity should have a chin. And any discernible musculature, since he’s ~so strong~.

This review (which is not under a cut, so I’m not reblogging it) raises many good points.

In addition to those, however, plot holes you could drive a Dreadnought Class through and enough action movie cliches to choke TV Tropes.

It was fun, I guess, but it was also cringe-worthy in a lot of ways. Obviously the best way to deal with my dissatisfaction is to go watch some good Star Trek. Possibly the kind with Ricardo Montalban.

not only is this a perfect episode of Spy v Spy deliciousness, it’s also the most homoerotic Illya-free episode. I think Ricardo and Robert are just too fucking suave to not flirt with each other.

I’ve just been savior-ing “Hannibal” the name, since it catches more than just the #tag version. As long as you stick to that, I think most people who have an issue with the show will probably be covered. I know some people also warn for blood, gore, cannibalism, etc, but at this point, the name of the show is probably warning enough to anyone who’s been hanging around Tumblr lately.

Dear Hannibal tag/fandom,

Your show looks really well-done and fascinating and containing all of the elements needed for a truly twisted fandom that’s having a great time. It’s all over Tumblr, probably for a good reason, since, like I said, it seems really well done from the things that have slipped past my Tumblr Savior.

However…

That those things are slipping past Tumblr Savior is a problem, since it makes me intensely uncomfortable to the point that I’m kind of wondering if this is what “trigger” actually means, so please tag your Hannibal posts and reblogs. The reblogs part is the important one here, since everyone with new content wants it to be found, but please don’t forget that reblogs should be tagged for potentially disturbing content, too.

I’m honestly glad that you guys are enjoying your new show; it looks like something that I’d enjoy too if even oblique references to what’s going on didn’t cause me to just sit and stare into space and try to think of literally anything else for a couple minutes afterwards.

If any of you lot engage in RP/RPG would you mind telling me what your focus is? I’m just curious really, I’m not going to nag you for games or bother you about it; I just want to know because I’m feeling lonely out in my little world, haha.

Personally I play White Wolf settings more often than not, VtM/MtA/WtA/HtR….a few other combined themes and I tried to get into Forsaken but as much as I liked the general theme I didn’t care all to much for the limitations to how it was handled. Also really got into the Promethean concept too but I never found many other players.

I do OC, more online than tabletop these days, some established characters for…years and years, haha. I’ve GM’ed, ran NPCs, wrote settings, played IC; I like to roll around all over every area of the game and love building a concept and cast from the ground up.

Chances are if you attended the Grand Masquerade either year you saw me lurking and running around.

Mostly I’m just curious about what, if any, of you all do/play and if you want to discuss. Not really looking for games I think, simply because I rarely have the time for new ones these days; but a little friendly banter is always nice.

Tell me about your game woes and joys, your characters….anything; just tell me I’m not a dying breed these days. I’ll even give my primary characters basic stats if you’re a curious old school player. XD

In high school I played D&D or other D20 games, and now I’m in a Pathfinder game over Skype with my college friends, but in college itself…

Old WoD, New WoD (Old is better, in my opinion, though new Mage can be great and less confusing than Old Mage if run by a good ST; and new Hunter actually allows the PCs to survive more than one encounter, which is both good and bad depending on the tone of the campaign), Exalted (eds 1 and 2), Adventure! and Aberrant, 7th Sea and L5R, Shadowrun, Victoriana, Nobilis, homebrews, and some others I’m forgetting, some things I only played once, etc etc. If I didn’t play it personally, I know someone who did and I still have opinions on the system or setting.

I love talking about games of all sort, have at it. I do attend GenCon every year I can make it, and I’m more of a player than an ST, but I’ve run Exalted and 7th Sea (and D&D, of course, who hasn’t?). Those and Adventure! are my favourites, but I just love RPGs, generally.

I’ve lost 3 followers (and gained one, hi!) in the last few days. Judging by what I’ve posted, I guess they were allergic to military history and classic Doctor Who.

I’m pretty sure most of the followers I have who aren’t here because we met in real life at a con sometime came here in the first place because of my sporadic posts about military subjects in British fiction, so I’m not sure what they were expecting.
